DAY 1 KLIA2-LABUAN BAJO Meet at KLIA2 at 7:45 AM for our flight from Kuala Lumpur to Labuan Bajo, departing at 10:45 AM and arriving at 2:25 PM. After checking into the hotel, enjoy a leisurely evening exploring the main town of Labuan Bajo at your own pace. Consider visiting local markets, sampling delicious seafood at seaside restaurants, or taking a sunset stroll along the waterfront. Overnight in Labuan Bajo
DAY 2 LABUAN BAJO-RUTENG (132KM) After breakfast we will start our road journey to inland Flores. The road trip from Labuan Bajo to Ruteng is a scenic adventure. Starting in Labuan Bajo, you’ll enjoy winding roads with stunning views of hills and coastal landscapes. Our first destination of the journey, Cunca Wulang Waterfall. The trails lead you through lush forests to breath-taking waterfalls, perfect for a refreshing dip and photos. After the invigorating hike, make your way to Todo traditional village, where you can immerse yourself in local culture and admire traditional architecture. DAY 3 RUTENG-BAJAWA (135KM) Begin your adventure at Liang Bua, the famous Hobbit Cave, where you can explore the archaeological site and learn about its fascinating history. Next, visit Aimere, famous for its local liquor. A stop at a brewery lets you witness the traditional distillation process and enjoy sampling the unique beverages. Continue on to the traditional Bena village, immersing yourself in the rich culture and customs of the Ngada people, with stunning traditional houses set against picturesque landscapes. Finally, unwind at Malanange Hot Springs, a unique spot where the cold river meets the hot spring waters, creating a delightful experience of warm and cool temperatures. Next, visit Pantai Batu Biru, a beautiful beach known for its crystal-clear waters and unique blue stones. After exploring Kelimutu, enjoy a leisurely lunch featuring local cuisine along the scenic route to Riung. The journey provides glimpses of the beautiful landscapes and traditional villages that characterize this region. Upon arriving in Riung, you'll discover a charming coastal town known for its stunning marine life and the nearby 17 Islands Marine Park. DAY 6 RIUNG Enjoy a thrilling day of snorkelling in Riung’s 17 Islands Marine Park. Begin your adventure with a scenic boat ride to the islands, where you’ll explore vibrant coral reefs filled with colorful fish and diverse marine life, providing excellent snorkelling opportunities. Visit another island to spot graceful sea turtles swimming nearby, and take time to relax on stunning beaches. Keep an eye out for flying foxes or fruit bats roosting in the trees, adding a unique wildlife experience to your trip. After a morning of exploration, savor a delicious picnic lunch amidst the picturesque surroundings. In the afternoon, snorkel at another beautiful spot, discovering unique underwater formations. DAY 7 RIUNG-RUTENG (182KM) The road journey from Riung to Ruteng along the coastal route offers a blend of stunning coastal views and rugged inland terrain. Leaving Riung, you'll pass through peaceful fishing villages and enjoy scenic stretches of the Flores Sea coastline. Small beaches and traditional boats add charm to the journey. Take time to explore local markets and savor fresh seafood at one of the coastal towns, surrounded by coconut groves and panoramic ocean views. Continuing inland, the road ascends through hilly landscapes, offering breathtaking views of terraced rice fields and distant volcanic peaks. As you near Ruteng, the cooler, lush forested mountains create a stark contrast to the coastal scenery. This lesser-traveled route beautifully combines coastal serenity and inland adventure, making it a picturesque drive through Flores’ diverse landscapes. DAY 8 RUTENG-LABUAN BAJO (130KM) On your road trip from Ruteng back to Labuan Bajo, your first stop is the famous Spiderweb Paddy Fields in Cancar. This unique sight offers a stunning aerial view of rice fields arranged in a fascinating spiderweb pattern, reflecting a traditional land division system. After soaking in the views, continue the journey and stop for lunch at a local eatery, savoring authentic Flores dishes like grilled fish or chicken served with spicy sambal and rice. Our next stop en route is Rumah Tenun Baku Peduli, where you can savor a cup of local coffee while appreciating traditional weaving crafts. In the afternoon, visit Rangko Cave, a hidden gem near Labuan Bajo. After a short boat ride, you’ll explore the crystal-clear blue waters inside the cave, perfect for a refreshing swim. Afterward, head to your beachfront hotel in Labuan Bajo, where you can relax and enjoy a spectacular sunset, the perfect end to a day of adventure and travel. DAY 9 LABUAN BAJO-ISLAND HOPPING Experience a full day of private island hopping in Komodo National Park. Begin with a sunrise hike on Padar Island for panoramic views of its stunning beaches. Then, visit Kampung Komodo, where Komodo dragons live peacefully alongside villagers, offering a rare chance to see these majestic creatures in their natural habitat.
